Limiting Beliefs and Expanding Beliefs

What experiment did you create to challenge one of your limiting beliefs?  What did you notice or experience?

What experiment did you create related to your Committed Way of Being?  What did you notice?

  1. I create an experiment to challenge my limiting belief: monitor my daily study time and progress. The experiment I did related to my Committed Way of Being is to be on time: I changed my watch to several minutes early.
I noticed, if I have this thing in mind, I will pay attention to it, and the result is always turned out to be good.

  2. Everyone is unique and special. The best person you can try to be is YOU!! I have been working this past couple of weeks to remember that, because it is easy to forget that and begin to feel that you are not up to par.
The idea I have been working on is to change my belief or strongly held notions from a limiting belief to an expanding belief.
The lessons we learn here at Culture at the core are not lessons for the week, or the month but are really lessons for making our lives a more productive one and I appreciate that.
Special shout-out to Ashish, miss you man!!!

I thought that it could be so difficult to change some of our formed habits and maybe your characteristics, too. For the past two weeks, I tried so hard to push myself to speak up whenever and wherever I have a chance. And what amazing is sometimes, you'll find so many supports around you, for example, one of my teacher said at the end of the class: " you need to take risk to try some things out, you never know what you gonna get, maybe it would not work as perfect as you expected, however, how worse could that be! And what really matter is if you do not take the first step, it could be your obstacle forever, the fear in your mind keeps growing till it expose and destroy the life you want to live. Lol, I might be exaggerate it, however, I just want to show myself and you that the importance of trial. I think the big difficulty for me is to overcome the problem of taking others opinions too seriously. I cared so much about how others thought about me and will judge about me, which made myself so struggling, miserable and disappointed. You need to have the courage to show the best of yourself on the stage and in front of others. And you'll have the sense of big achievement when you find out that others are quite enjoy your performance~~~hehe, that's the goal~~~

I tried to speak up in the class when I have a question or I what to answer the question. To some extend, I succeed. But I need to try hard~~
Here are my tips for others who have the same concern like me: you can choose to sit in the first row of the classroom where the professor could easily have a eye contact with you. There are advantages: sometimes, the teacher would sense that you know the answer by looking at your expression and ask you to say something, so mission complete naturally, and I found myself more concentrated and active. What's more, you don't need to care about others reaction, because you could not see any more. And there is once I thought what I did of speaking up in class did motivate and encourage another Chinese student to participate in class. And I feel happy for her.

Be open! Recently, I am thinking about maybe of my shyness, I have missed a lot of chance to meet and get to know a lot of awesome people, and I feel great pity. And you actually need to say sth, or do sth, so that others could understand you better, which is also a short way to make true friends.
